The NSW Rural Press Club is heading to our nation's capital for our first ever Agribuzz event in Canberra.
Agribuzz is a smart casual event providing professional networking and development opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere. Our guest speaker for the evening will be David Bryant, Managing Director, Rural Funds Management Limited.
It provides the opportunity for our members and friends to exchange business intelligence and ideas over drinks and canapés, enjoy a brief presentation, and mingle with their peers. Those establishing their careers can talk to agribusiness leaders over a drink while those on the look-out for talent can meet aspiring leaders-in-the-making.
Bookings for this event will close on Monday, 13 April 2026.

Australia’s wine industry stands on a precipice. An over-supply crisis, export market uncertainty and changing consumer preferences mean that Australia’s $51 billion-plus wine industry faces tough choices for a sustainable future.
Far from just being about cellar door experiences, the future viability of more than 1,000 grape growers and wineries across New South Wales face a stark reality – change is needed to ensure a sustainable future.
A key question facing the sector is what role government can play in supporting the transition the industry now needs to undertake. Beyond opening export opportunities, what policy settings and partnerships can help growers and winemakers adapt, rebuild demand and strengthen their position in an increasingly competitive global beverages market?
And equally, what practical steps can growers and businesses take to improve productivity, adjust production and make the difficult decisions needed to rebalance supply across the sector?
To unpack these issues and more, we’re joined by Lee McLean, the CEO of peak body Australian Grape & Wine Limited.
As CEO, Lee is focused on ensuring the long-term sustainability, profitability and global competitiveness of Australia’s grape and wine sector. He has led the organisation through a period of significant structural challenge for the industry, advancing policy reform, championing supply-demand rebalancing initiatives, and driving strategic engagement with key domestic and international markets.
